About Me

I’m 20 years old. My sister taught me to read before I went to preschool, and I’ve been an aspiring writer ever since.

I live in Minneapolis,  and I’m attending the University of Minnesota for a degree in English, Creative Writing, and French. I’m currently the Nonfiction Editor for Ivory Tower, the undergraduate art and literary magazine at the University of Minnesota. I’m taking classes in Linguistics, French Phonetics, and Creative Nonfiction Writing. I’m also Interning at Kaleidoscope Place, where I assist in classroom instruction and homework help for kids K-8.

If I’m not reading or writing, I might be sleeping. I also could be cooking, baking, eating, practicing vegetarianism, going to the farmers’ market, going to movies and concerts, taking pictures, getting film developed, watching NBC on Thursdays, or working as an administrative assistant on campus.

I’m currently obsessed with: Downton Abbey, St. Vincent, and astrology.

I love my dog more than some people.

I write fiction, nonfiction, a hybrid of the two, and poetry. I enjoy writing personal essays.

I want to be Lydia Davis when I grow up: a writer, essayist, and French translator.
